Frequently asked questions.
What populations do you work with?
Currently, Dr. Inez will treat populations between the ages of 18 and 65. She treats problems of depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, trauma, grief, identity, LGBTQ+, stress, and spiritual and personal growth.
Dr. Inez does not view people as diagnoses. However, she does not currently work with problems of psychosis, addiction, bipolar mania/depression, multi-hospitalizations, active suicidality, multiple medical comorbidities, or chronic pain.
Furthermore, Dr. Inez does not prescribe benzodiazepines for the use of anxiolysis or opiates, as there is little evidence showing their long-term efficacy.
Do you write notes or letters?
I do not offer recommendations for medical leave, emotional support animals, or jury duty exemption.
I will provide gender-reassignment surgery letters on a case-by-case basis for long-term therapeutic clientele.
Where are you licensed?
I am currently licensed and DEA certified in Oregon, New York, and California.
How long is a typical session?
If you are billing insurance, sessions are no longer than thirty minutes. If you are paying out of pocket, sessions can range from 30 to sixty minutes. Intakes may be sixty to ninety minutes long.
Do you diagnose OCD and ADHD?
Yes, and any other disorder that may be appropriate based on the results of your comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. However, your diagnosis does not determine who you are. We use diagnosis to bill insurance and to guide your course of treatment.
